According to this article from the associated press there was a 27% jump in pending home sales from February to April of this year in the Reno/Sparks market.  This is obviously a good sign but be sure to understand the fact that 72% of the sales came from “distressed” properties.  Buyers are looking for Value! and there are great values in the real estate world right now!  If you are a buyer, now is the time to take advantage of the market and if you are a seller be sure to understand your competition and price accordingly.
