The weather for this weekend is looking to be in the upper 60′s/low 70′s (it always feels warmer than the numbers when you’re in the mountains) with plenty of sunshine, which is perfect for the great events going on in the area.
If you like beer and good music, the Truckee Optimist Club’s Fifth Annual Truckee Brew Fest will be held Saturday, June 12 at the Truckee Regional Park from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Over 20 breweries will be represented pouring some of the finest brews in Northern California and Nevada. This year’s featured band will be “Sol’Jibe”, a very popular Reno based band featuring people pleasing songs, with a world beat sound, and a unique instrumental flair. Enjoy brews, brats, silent auction, collector tasting glass, and lots of fun. All proceeds go directly to programs, grants, and scholarships for the kids of Truckee.
Want to get out and ride? Northstar kicks off the opening of their mountain bike park this weekend. Plenty of varied terrain set to be open for beginners thru experts. Lifts are scheduled to start running on June 11 at 10:00 am.
The North Lake Tahoe Historical Society begins their popular Tahoe City Historic Guided Walking Tour, which highlights points of historic interest as well as things to do and places to eat. The tour is fun for tourists and locals interested in finding out more about the area. The tour ends at the Gatekeeper’s Museum where tour participants receive free admission. Tours are free (Donations to the North Lake Tahoe Historical Society are welcome.)
Come on up and enjoy these great events, or just take it easy. If you’d like to look for a vacation home or investment property while you’re in the area, feel free to give me a call.
